Coaching Hampshire & IOW

Welcome to our newly updated Coaching Hampshire & IOW website.

We have re-designed our website to offer designated areas to coaches and recruiters, which means it is now much easier to navigate and find what you are looking for.

Coaching Hampshire & IOW aims to provide coaches and those involved with employment, deployment, education and coach development with a suite of services designed to support a professionally regulated profession in which all coaches (voluntary, part-time and full-time) are recognised, rewarded and valued.

What can the website do for you?

The website is continuously evolving. Its brief is to create an online recruitment, employment and deployment tool for coaches that operates inside the existing "delivery system for sport" and within the parameters of the UK Coaching Framework.

The website includes the following features: -

For Coaches

  • Become a Coach - Find out if you are suitable to becoming a Coach.
  • Benefits to the Coach - Find out the benefits of joining Coaching Hampshire & IOW.
  • Coach Education - View the coach education calendar for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
  • Coaching Resources - Provides access to resource bank, discounted coaching resources.
  • Coaching Vacancies - View the latest coaching opportunities.
  • Opportunities - Read what type of opportunities are available as a Coach.
  • UKCC - Read the frequently asked questions about the UKCC.
  • Coach Scholarship - online application for coaches looking to take level two qualifications and above.

For Recruiters

Whilst we currently have great faith in the current system to assist us in the mapping of coaching activity, creating a database of coaches and providing coaches with a repository for their own personal development, we're always keen to get feedback and develop the system to fulfil your needs.

If you have any constructive ideas or feedback that you feel would enhance the website or any other services we provide, then please contact us at info@coachinghampshireiow.co.uk

Resource of the month for August

AIMING HIGH FOR DISABLED CHILDREN (AHDC) is a national three-year transformation programme to improve services for disabled children, young people and their families. The vision is for all families with disabled children to have the support they need to live ordinary family lives by improving access and empowerment, responsive services and timely support, quality and capacity.

In Hampshire, services are focused around the AHDC national core offer, a set of standards which families with disabled children can expect from the services provided by local authorities.

There are some really useful resource packs available on the Hampshire Government website. Hard copies are also available (a small cost may be charged).
